Do you enjoy eating? So do I. And then there are some folks who will eat hardly anything and still can't lose weight. It seems we are doomed no matter what we do. Until now, that is. You can lose weight, but it will take some planning and diligence on your part. In fact, it will change your life.

Food- Friend Or Foe?

A good question, and this all depends on how you look at food, and what types of foods you are eating. We have a love-hate relationship with food when we eat because we are bored or depressed, then feel guilty about over indulging. Then what? We eat some more! By doing this of course you can't lose weight.

Food Is Our Friend

Food supplies us with everything we need for survival. Protein, carbohydrates, starch, sugar and fat all play a role in being healthy. It is the combination of these compounds and how much of them we consume that will either cause us to lose weight or gain it.

Food Is Our Foe

We should not eat processed, pre-cooked food. Why? There are no real nutrients in this type of food. Fast foods are the worst. Sure, we all like to stop by the drive-thru now and then because we are rushed or simply have a craving for that gut bomb. If you do this often, you have part of the reason why you can't lose weight.

If you want a pizza, make one yourself. Use whole wheat flour and a ton of veggies. Low fat cheese is great or tofu. Are you getting the idea? You can eat foods you love but they will be healthier for you. Dieting can be fun if you use some creativity. Get the whole family involved.

Drink Your Water

You will not gain weight by drinking more water. In fact, water can actually help drop those pounds. It assists the other organs in flushing out toxins. If you drink ice water, you will actually burn more calories. Anyone who can't lose weight is no doubt drinking diet soda, which is a big no-no! some studies have shown that diet pop has the opposite effect. Water. Eight to ten glasses per day. Now for the good part.

Eat More To Lose More!

Yes, you can lose more weight by eating more. The goal is very small portions of healthy foods eaten at certain times of the day. Eat your protein in the morning. Have a two egg-white omelet and some fruit in the morning for breakfast. No egg yolks. Have a mid morning snack two to three hours after, and so forth. Those who do not eat at all will say they can't lose weight, and this is because their metabolism is so slow from not eating.

With these tips you should be able to wake up your metabolism and start losing some weight real soon. Eat healthy, drink water, and of course, get some exercise whenever you can.
